قام رئيس الوزراء الياباني شينزو آبي يوم الأربعاء بزيارة منطقة دمرتها السيول في الأيام القليلة الماضية ووعد بأن تبذل الحكومة كل ما في وسعها للمساعدة في إعادة الإعمار.
وبدأت الأمطار الموسمية قبل أسبوع وتسببت في انهيارات أرضية بالإضافة إلى فيضان الأنهار في جزيرة كيوشو بجنوب غرب البلاد مما اضطر أكثر من 400 ألف من السكان للنزوح عن ديارهم.
وهبط التأييد لآبي إلى أدنى مستوياته منذ توليه رئاسة الوزراء في 2012 واختصر جولة أوروبية بسبب الكارثة وتوجه لزيارة المنطقة بعد أقل من 24 ساعة من عودته.
وقال آبي “تمكنت من الحديث إلى الناس في مراكز الإجلاء والاستماع لبواعث قلقهم ومشاكلهم”.
وأضاف “ستبذل الحكومة كل ما في وسعها لإعادة الإعمار حتى يستطيع الناس استئناف حياتهم بلا قلق”.
